This method can either use the left side knockout for a side exit or a wall hole can be drilled on the left side of the unit&apos;s rear.&#xA0;</p><p>Option 2: Routing the refrigerant piping straight through the back of the system will facilitate the connections to the copper pipe extensions intended to be made outside. This is recommended to simplify the process.&#xA0;</p><p>Option 3: This method is a right side exit, but is not recommended as it involves a 180&#xB0; bend of the piping. This increases the risk of kinking or collapsing the lines dramatically. Bend the piping slowly and cautiously.&#xA0;</p><p>If a side-exit is chosen, there are knock-out panels on either side of the unit that can be cut along the groove to provide a notch for the pipe to exit from. Don&apos;t bend the pipe more than three times at one point. Be careful not to kink any piping.&#xA0;</li><li>When extending the coiled copper pipes, straighten them by unwinding gently.
