Wire the Indoor Unit for Wall-Mounted SystemsUpdated 11 days ago
Introduction
This article explains how to wire the indoor unit of wall-mounted systems.
This article is for the following systems:
- Diamante Essenza (WYT-17)
- Diamante Pro (WYT-20)
- Quantum Ultra (WYT-24)
- Quantum Hyperformance (WYT-25)
- Quantum Fresh (WYT-FA)
Steps
1. Lift the indoor unit's front panel.
2. Remove the cover as indicated in the illustrations.

WYT-FA

3. Consult the circuit diagram affixed to the electrical cover.
4. Connect the cables to the wiring terminal by following the numbering. Use wire gauge suitable for the electrical power input. See the nameplate on the unit.
There are three terminals (1, 2, 3) and ground (g). It is vital that the colors and numbers between the indoor and outdoor unit match for each terminal. The color selection does not matter as much as matching number to number does. Do not mix up the wires between each end.
Connect the wires in accordance with the wiring diagrams, then verify that all wire strands are fully inserted and securely clamped at the terminals. All connections must be tight and free of looseness.

Notes
- Consult the nameplate on the system for detailed electrical specifications.
- 115V systems take a single-pole breaker for the main circuit panel.

- 230V systems require a double-pole breaker (tandem-type will not work).
