<h2 id="isPasted"><u>Introduction</u></h2><p>This article explains how to clean the anti-dust indoor unit filters for Diamante Ultra Wall-Mounted (WYT-22) systems.&#xA0;</p><p id="isPasted"><strong>Note:&#xA0;</strong>This article is for a product that is discontinued.&#xA0;</p><p>All Pioneer mini split systems include air filters for the indoor air handlers by default.</p><p>For newer models starting with &#x201C;WT&#x201D; and ending in &#x201C;22HLD,&#x201D; the indoor unit contains the anti-dust filters at the top of the unit, as well as small auxiliary filters on the front. The anti-dust filters cover 100% of the incoming air due to its significantly improved design.<br id="isPasted"><img src="https://attachments.gorgias.help/Q9r0k7BYaV2vg13y/hc/9JWjXVxG8m6DvMqm/2025060316-a2915591-4825-4005-b5b8-6fd892fe27e3-5ba85cf0-29c2-43b2-bc91-193a6b6f3750.png" class="fr-fic fr-dib fr-bordered" style="width: 400px;"></p><p>The newer models do not support slide-out filters. The typical slide-out filters for older models are found behind the front panel. The standard slide-out filters only capture 93-95% of incoming air. &#xA0;</p><p>Some production batches include an outdated page in the manual, indicating this model features front slide-out filters. The newer models do not include front slide-out filters.</p><h2 id="clean-anti-dust-filters"><u>Clean Anti-Dust Filters</u></h2><p>We recommend cleaning the anti-dust filters every 2 weeks. &#xA0;</p><ol><li style="font-size: 16px;">Hold open the exposed handles on top of the indoor unit.</li><li style="font-size: 16px;">Gently remove the single anti-dust filter by pulling it upwards and backwards.</li><li style="font-size: 16px;">Clean the filter with warm water (under 113&#xB0;F/45&#xB0;C). The filter is washable.</li><li style="font-size: 16px;">Let the filter dry. In certain scenarios, the outside unit can build up frost and require you to manually defrost it&#xA0;</p><h2 id="steps"><u>Steps</u></h2><ol start="1" type="1"><li style="font-size: 16px;">Set the system to Heating mode using the remote control.</li><li style="font-size: 16px;">Press the &#x201C;ECO&#x201D; button consecutively 10 times within 8 seconds.<img src="https://attachments.gorgias.help/Q9r0k7BYaV2vg13y/hc/9JWjXVxG8m6DvMqm/2025060312-53eacae4-11b2-4d7a-a1e7-efee37f486fd-remote_controller_manually_defrost.png" style="width: 500px;" class="fr-fic fr-dib"></li><li style="font-size: 16px;">The indoor unit will display &#x201C;C8&#x201D;, indicating the system has entered the forced defrost cycle.</li><li style="font-size: 16px;">Wait for the cycle to complete. Depending on the severity of the icing, the system might need to go through three cycles to completely defrost the condensing unit.&#xA0;</li><li style="font-size: 16px;">Repeat the procedure if necessary.&#xA0;</li></ol><p><br></p>

Adjust the switch position to change the control type and unit of temperature.</p><p><strong id="isPasted">Note:&#xA0;</strong>This article is for a product that is discontinued.</p><h2 id="steps"><u>Steps</u></h2><ol><li style="font-size: 16px;">Set the switch to the &#x201C;Heat&#x201D; position.</li><li style="font-size: 16px;">Remove the batteries from the remote controller.</li><li style="font-size: 16px;">Wait at least 30 seconds.</li><li style="font-size: 16px;">Reinsert the batteries into the remote controller.</li></ol><p><span style="font-size: 16px;">If the switch is already set to the &#x201C;Heat&#x201D; position and the system is not entering Heating mode, remove the batteries and reinsert them after 30 seconds.
