<h2 id="introduction"><u>Introduction</u></h2><p>This article explains how to perform routine maintenance on <a href="https://www.pioneerminisplit.com/collections/vertex-ducted-central-split" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Vertex Ducted Central Split (DYC-18) systems</a>.&#xA0;</p><p>Regularly maintaining the system is important in order to ensure high performance and minimize possible equipment failures.&#xA0;</p><p>Qualified service technicians should regularly inspect the system and perform the routine maintenance.</p><h2 id="annual-system-check"><u>Annual System Check</u></h2><p>The annual system check must include the following:</p><ul><li>Check the filter every 90 days or when needed. If the filter is blocked or impaired, clean or replace it immediately. Do not operate the system without a filter.&#xA0;</li><li>Inspect and clean the impeller housing and motor.&#xA0;</li><li>Check and clean the indoor and outdoor coils as needed.&#xA0;</li><li>Check and clean the indoor coil drainpipe and drain pan, as well as the auxiliary drainpipe and drain pan.&#xA0;</li><li>Check all wires and connections. If corrections are needed, refer to the wiring diagram.&#xA0;</li></ul><p>Do not use chemicals or chemically-treated cloths to clean the equipment. Also, do not use benzene, paint thinner, polishing powder, or other solvents to clean the system.&#xA0;</p><h2 id="safety-notes"><u>Safety Notes</u></h2><ul><li>Before cleaning or performing maintenance on the system, turn off the equipment and disconnect its power supply.&#xA0;</li><li>When removing the filter, do not touch the metal parts in the device. Sharp metal edges can cut you.</li></ul><p><br></p>
