Placing the Unit onto the Roof for Rooftop RV SystemsUpdated 3 days ago
Introduction
Follow these steps to properly place the unit onto the roof for the Full Inverter Rooftop RV Air Conditioner Heat Pump.
Notes
Some models of this machine weigh up to 100 pounds (45.4 kg). To prevent equipment damage, we recommend using a crane or lifting device to raise the system onto the RV roof.
Avoid dragging the air conditioner to prevent damaging the insulation at the bottom. A damaged or improperly sealed base will cause water leakage.
If you find any misalignment with the outdoor unit during panel installation, adjust the unit from inside through the mounting hole. Make sure the bottom insulation on the roof aligns precisely with the 14-1/4 inch (362 mm) x 14-1/4 inch (362 mm) square opening.
Steps
1. Remove the outdoor air conditioning unit from the box.
2. Place the outdoor unit carefully on the RV roof.
3. Lift the unit using the foam packaging blocks. Position the equipment over the prepared opening with the condenser coil facing the rear of the RV.
4. Install the panel assembly inside the RV. This assembly includes the fasteners needed to secure the air conditioner.
