Introduction

This article explains how to hang the indoor unit for UYB-20 floor-ceiling flex systems. 

Note

• Completely align the unit body with the hole. Ensure the unit and hole are the same size before moving on. 

Hanging Methods

Original Concrete Bricks

Install the hanging hook with the expansion bolt into concrete. Ensure it is installed at a depth of 1-3/4~2 inches (45~50 mm) to prevent loosening. 

New Concrete Bricks

Inlay or embed the screw bolts. 

Steel Roof Beam Structures

Install and use the supporting steel angle. 

Wooden Structures

Place the wood mounting across the roof beam, then install the hanging screw bolts. 

Steps

1. Install and fit the pipes and wires after finishing the installation of the main body. 

When choosing a starting, determine which direction the pipes will run. 

2. Install the hanging screw bolts. 

• Cut off the roof beam. 
• Strengthen the area at which the cut was made and consolidate the roof beam. 

3. Before mounting the machine, position the refrigerant pipes, drainpipes, and indoor and outdoor wires to the connection points. 

4. Drill four holes, 4 inches (102 mm) deep, at the ceiling hook positions into the internal ceiling. 

Ensure to hold the drill at a 90-degree angle to the ceiling. 

5. Secure the bolt using the included washers and nuts. 

6. Install the four suspension bolts. 

7. Mount the indoor unit. This process will require two people to lift and secure the indoor unit. 

8. Insert the suspension bolts into the unit's hanging holes. Fasten them using the included washers and nuts. 

9. Remove the side board and grille. 

10. Mount the indoor unit onto the hanging screw bolts with a block. Position the indoor flat using a level indicator to prevent leaks. 

Confirm the minimum drain tilt is 1/100 or more.
