The "P0" or "PC00" code on a QUANTUM series (WS/CB/RB/FB/UB) is an inverter drive error. It can either be the compressor failing or an outdoor board failure.
If this is a new unit, ensure that your outdoor refrigerant valves are backed out all the way counterclockwise to the open position.
Outdoor Unit's ValvesThis can usually be confirmed with ohming Ω out the compressor with a multimeter, which requires the power completely off at your breaker or disconnect. Remove the top and front panels of the unit to see the compressor. You will have to pull out the sound insulation blanket that is wrapped around it.
You will then ohm Ω out 3 compressor lead pairs on the large white Molex plug between the compressor and the board. This plug usually has red, blue, and white (or black) wires. This means you will test each pin against each other.
Then, test each one individually against ground, you may use the metal casing of the unit or a ground screw. These should not have any reading against ground; the compressor should not be grounded. It should read 0 or Open Line.
If the compressor checks out fine, the outdoor IPM board needs to be replaced.
