Introduction

The "E6" error code indicates a refrigerant leakage fault. This article is for Vertex Ducted Central Split (DYC-18) systems. 

The error code shows on the wired controller display. 

Troubleshooting

Cause: Refrigerant leakage detected. 

• Begin by opening the windows for ventilation and extinguish indoor open flames. 
• Check if there is any leakage in the copper pipe. If leakage is confirmed, the pipe needs to be repaired by welding. 
• If no leakage is found, it may be a false alarm fault on the main control board. Replace the indoor board first. If the fault is not resolved, replace the refrigerant sensor.
