Introduction

The "E4" error code indicates an indoor refrigerant sensor detects leakage error. This article is for Vertex Ducted Central Split (DYC-18) systems. 

The error code shows on the wired controller display. 

Cause: Sensor reading error.

• Confirm whether the sensor is firmly connected and check the sensor connector to ensure that it is firmly connected. 
• Unplug the sensor and use a multimeter to measure the resistance to check whether it is an open circuit or short circuit. If so, replace the sensor. If not, replace the main control board.
