Install the Air Filter for Vertex Ducted Central Split (DYC-18) SystemsUpdated 13 days ago

Introduction

This article explains how to install the air filter for Vertex Ducted Central Split (DYC-18) systems

The replaceable air filter is not included with the system. The size of the external filters or other filter devices must meet the maximum flow rate of 300ft/min or the recommended value of the filter type.

Positioning the filter incorrectly can disrupt the airflow, influencing the performance of the heating and cooling system. Reduced airflow will shorten the life of the system's main components. Therefore, we recommend that the return air duct system has only one filter position. For systems without return air filter grids, install multiple filter grids at each return air opening.

If a high-efficiency filter screen or electronic filtration system is used, do not reduce the airflow rate. The decreased air flow will reduce the overall efficiency and performance of the system.

If a reusable filter is used, clean it according to the manufacturer's specifications. The reusable filter must comply with the UL 900 standard.

Do not double filter the return air system or filter the air supply duct system, as this will also change the performance of the device.

An air filter must be used when operating the system.

Note: We recommend contacting professional installation technicians to ensure the correct installation of such filtration systems.

Steps

  1. Manually remove the bolts and filter cover.
  2. Hold the edge of the strainer and pull it out.
  3. Insert the new filter and ensure that the arrow on the filter screen is consistent with the airflow direction.
