Introduction
This article explains how to run and complete a drainage test for ceiling cassette and ducted ceiling concealed systems.
This test ensures the drainpipe properly directs condensate to a suitable location. New buildings should perform this test before finishing the ceiling.
This article applies to the following systems:
Steps
1. Remove the test cover.
2. Add 67.6 ounces (2,000 ml) of water to the tank through the attached tube.
3. Turn on the main power switch and run the appliance in Cooling mode.
4. Listen for any unusual noises coming from the drain pump.
5. Confirm that the water is discharging. It may take up to a minute for the unit to begin draining, depending on the drainpipe.
6. Confirm there are no leaks in the piping.
7. Stop the appliance. Turn off the main power switch and reinstall the rest cover.
