Introduction

Learn how to prepare and create the floor openings for the Under-Bench RV Inverter Packaged Heat Pump Air Conditioner.

Preparing the Floor Openings

  • Installing this product requires creating openings in the floor. Do not cover or obstruct these openings with the chassis frame or similar fixtures.
  • Leave a gap of at least 1 inch (25 mm) between the machine and adjacent walls. Bottom View
  • If necessary, use a splash guard to prevent liquids from entering the openings.
  • Secure the machine to the floor using the provided kit.Bottom View
  • Ensure the machine is installed completely level. To prevent condensation leakage, the maximum allowed angle is 10 degrees.
  • Before cutting, verify that no cables, gas pipes, chassis frames, or similar fixtures are hidden underneath.
  • Seal the machined surfaces of the floor openings using a water-repellent solution.

Creating the Floor Openings

1. Follow the illustration below and use the template to mark the locations of the openings.

2. Carefully cut out the bottom openings using a reciprocating saw or similar cutting tool.

3. Use a hole saw to drill a condensate drainage hole with a 2-1/4-inch (57 mm) diameter. 

4. After choosing your floor-mounting method, use the template to mark the locations for the brackets and fastening screws.
