Introduction

Learn how to manually defrost Diamante Pro Wall-Mounted (WYT-19) systems. In certain scenarios, the outside unit can build up frost and require you to manually defrost it.

Note: This article is for a product that is discontinued. 

Steps

1. Set the system to Heating mode using the remote control.
2. Press the “ECO” button consecutively 10 times within 8 seconds.
3. The indoor unit will display “C8”, indicating the unit has entered the forced defrost cycle.
4. Wait for the cycle to complete. Note: Depending on the severity of the icing, the system might need to go through three cycles to completely defrost the condensing unit.
5. Repeat the procedure if necessary.
