Understanding the Differences Between Inverter+ & Inverter++ SystemsUpdated 12 days ago

Although both systems are wall-mounted ductless mini-splits, the Inverter++ offers several unique features compared to the Inverter+:

  • While both models are highly efficient, the Inverter++ consumes less power than the Inverter+ while delivering the same capacity and output. This higher efficiency helps you save money on electricity. Additionally, the Inverter++ is fully Energy Star-certified, whereas the Inverter+ only holds this rating for the 9,000 BTU model.
  • Inverter++ models perform better in frigid climates, with the ability to continue heating down to ambient temperatures of -13°F (-25°C). Meanwhile, the Inverter+ series begins losing heating efficiency at around 42°F (5.5°C) and stops heating completely at 5°F (-15°C).
  • The Inverter++ supports multi-zone operation, while the Inverter+ does not.
  • Although both systems operate quietly, the Inverter++ provides superior noise reduction.
