Yes, the outdoor unit is pre-charged at the factory with enough refrigerant to support lineset lengths of 10 to 25 feet (3-7.6 m) per zone.

Therefore:

• Single-zone systems comes pre-charged with enough refrigerant for 10 to 25 feet (3-7.6 m) of connected line.
• Dual-zone systems include enough refrigerant to support a combined line length of 20 to 50 feet (6.1-15.2 m).
• Triple-zone systems include enough refrigerant to support 30 to 75 feet (9.1-22.9 m) of connected lines.
• Etc.

For example, if you have 33 feet (10.1 m) of line for a single-zone unit or 65 feet (19.8 m) of line for a dual-zone unit, the total length exceeds the pre-charged limit. In this case, you will need to add extra refrigerant during installation to compensate for the additional length and rebalance the internal pressure.
