This code appears when the system detects that internal refrigerant levels are imbalanced. The first things to check are...

• If this is a brand new installation (within few days): Check that the outdoor unit's valves are backed out all the way counter-clockwise. Make sure that the lineset being utilized is at least 10 feet in length, else the system may be factory overcharged.Refrigerant Valves on Outdoor Condenser UnitCheck to see if there are any major leaks occurring at the connection points of the lineset (use a soapy spray and look for bubbling). Fix any found leaks and recharge to spec.

• If this is a very recent installation (within few weeks): If the unit was working for some time and is now showing this error, a likely culprit is a minor leak allowing refrigerant to leak out over time. Check to see if there are any minor leaks occurring at the 4 separate connection points of the lineset (use a soapy spray and look for bubbling). Fix any found leaks and recharge to spec.
