EL01 Error Code: Indoor Unit and Outdoor Unit Communication Error

The indoor unit cannot communicate with the outdoor unit.

Notes

• Use a multimeter to measure the DC voltage between port 2 (or S or L2) and port 3 (or N or S) on the outdoor unit. Connect the red probe to port 2 and the black probe to port 3.
• When the system is operating normally, the voltage alternates between positive and negative values. If the outdoor unit is malfunctioning, the voltage stays positive. If the indoor unit is malfunctioning, the voltage stays at a constant value.

• Use a multimeter to measure the resistance of the reactor that is not connected to the capacitor.
• The reading should be close to 0 Ω. If it is not, the reactor is faulty and should be replaced.
