Introduction

Follow these steps to install the ECOasis 50 Ductless Wall-Mounted Single-Room Energy Recovery Ventilator. 

Steps

1. Drill a 6 1/4 to 6 3/4-inch (160 to 170 mm) round hole in the wall, as shown below.

2. Insert the PVC pipe into the hole. Adjust it to fit flush with the interior and exterior walls. 

Ensure an airtight seal by filling the gap between the PVC pipe and the wall with PU foam on both the indoor and outdoor sides.

Important Notes

• The duct consists of two outer sleeves and adjusts to fit wall thicknesses up to 19-5/8 inches (498 mm).
• If the wall thickness is less than 14-5/8 inches (371 mm), cut the duct to size.
• Refer to the grille package for outer grille installation instructions.

3. Insert the PVC pipe into the wall. Adjust the pipe to fit snugly against the surface. 

Fill the gap between the PVC pipe and the wall — both inside and outside the building — using PU foam.

Open the hood cover and align the bottom of the hood base with the circular opening of the pipe. 

Mark the positions for the four screw holes on the exhaust hood base on the outside wall.

Drill the holes, and then secure the bottom of the plastic hood. 

4. Mount the main unit on the indoor wall. Route the adapter wire from the back of the unit to the inner duct. Connect it to the exposed fan and temperature sensor wiring. Once connected, neatly organize the remaining wires.

Align and mount the main unit by matching the plastic and metal tabs on the back cover plate with the corresponding slots on the rear of the main unit.

The powerful magnet on the back of the main unit automatically attracts the wall mounting plate.

Finally, insert the two small M3 screws (included in the kit) into the holes at the top of the main unit.

After Installation is Complete

Check for a gap: Ensure there is no large gap between the main unit and the mounting plate.

Verify wiring: If you see a gap, the internal wires are likely misplaced.

Reinstall: Remove the main unit and install it again, ensuring the wires sit properly.
