E3, E7, or E8 Error CodesUpdated a day ago
Introduction
The "E3", "E7", "E8", "EH", "En", or "Ey" error codes indicate different sensor failures.
- The "E3" error code indicates an outdoor unit coil temperature sensor failure.
- The "E7" error code indicates an ambient temperature sensor failure.
- The "E8" error code indicates a discharge temperature sensor failure.
- The "EH" error code indicates a suction temperature sensor failure.
- The "En" error code indicates a gas pipe temperature sensor failure.
- The "Ey" error code indicates a liquid pipe temperature sensor failure.
This article is for the following systems:
- Diamante Essenza High-Wall (WYT-17)
- Diamante Pro High-Wall (WYT-20)
- Quantum Fresh High-Wall (WYT-FA)
- Quantum Hyperformance High-Wall (WYT-25)
- Quantum Ultra Ceiling Cassette (CYT-24)
- Quantum Ultra Ducted Ceiling Concealed (RYT-24)
- Quantum Ultra Floor-Ceiling Flex (UYT-24)
- Quantum Ultra High-Wall (WYT-24)
If any of the sensors experience a short circuit or an open circuit fault, the system will display one of the error codes. After the error code displays, the indoor and outdoor units turn off. When the sensors recover, the units reverts to standby. The units can then be turned on directly.
